Intake Kit Installation Instructions: ’03-’04 Toyota Matrix & Pontiac Vibe. Complete kit with parts. Step 1. With sensors disconnected, now remove upper Step 2. Disconnect wiring harnesses leading to Mass Airflow Sensor, VSV valves located to either side of MAS on factory airbox (indicated by arrows). On the brown harness toward the front end of the car, place provided rubber cap over harness lead. Step 3. From the throttle body, there is a _” vacuum line that extends into

The following instructions are organized so that you work on only one component group at a time. This will help avoid confusion from similar looking parts from different sub-assemblies being on your workbench at the same time. (a) To facilitate reassembly, arrange parts in order. (b) Be careful not to mix up or lose clips or springs. (c) Use carburetor driver set SST. Remove air cleaner support, remove throttle position switch, Remove fuel cut solenoid valve (a) Remove the two clamps. (b) Disconnect the solenoid valve and throttle position switch wire from the clamp. (c) Remove the solenoid valve and gasket. Remove nipple union and gaskets. Remove compensator. Remove the three screws, throttle position switch wire clamp, compensator and gasket. HINT: Remove the compensator only if it is necessary to replace it. Remove suction chamber adjusting pin. Remove suction chamber and piston. Remove pump arm. Remove float bowl : (a) Disconnect the fuel heater wire from the clamp. (b) Remove the five screws, union nipple clamp, throttle valve solenoid, wire clamp, washer, number plate, EGR vacuum modulator bracket and float bowl. Remove the ìtie downî bracket from each side of the car and inspect the bolts for reuse. These brackets are stamped sheet metal with an oval hole facing downward. 4. Remove the front bolt ONLY from the two sway bar brackets. These bolts will not be reused. 5. Remove the two bolts (one on each side) located just above the front trim panel which hold the bumper brackets to the car and inspect for reuse. 6. Position a side bracket such that its hole align with the ìtie downî and sway bar bracket holes. Hand start the previously removed tie down bracket bolts and a new sway bar bracket bolt with a lockwasher. Use locktite on all bolts but do not tighten yet. 7. Repeat with other side of the bracket. 8. Position the baseplate between the side brackets aligning with the side plate holes and the bumper bracket holes. Hand start the previously removed bumper bracket holes and attach the side brackets with 1/2″ bolts, nuts, and lock washers supplied. 9. When all bolts align, tighten securely. 10. The dimensional variations between otherwise identical cars can be considerable. While the location and size of the holes in the baseplate were designed to facilitate easy installation, it may be necessary to file a hole slightly to allow a bolt to clear. 11. Install the tow bar and safety cables according to the instructions included in their packages. 12. Do not substitute other devices if the pin and clip are lost. 13. DEALER OR INSTALLER: BE CERTAIN THE USER RECEIVES THE INSTRUCTION SHEET. 14.1991 Model – The baseplate will fit the 1991 Camry, however, lower metal bumper/spoiler will need to be removed while base plate is installed…

Installation of this baseplate requires removing the vehicle’s tie down brackets. On 1991 models, the lower metal bumper/spoiler will need to be removed. 1. Read the General Instruction Sheet included with this baseplate. 2. The baseplate mounts to the front of the car using ten bolts (eight existing and two supplied): five on each side of the car. 3. Child restraint seat top strap bracket installation procedures are provided to supplement the Owner’s Manual. Beginning with 2001 models, the top strap brackets are factory installed. The child restraint seat top strap assembly is not available as a service part. Contact the child restraint seat manufacturer for recommended top strap information, top strap to child restraint seatinstallation instructions, and top strap retailers. The top strap brackets can only be installed on vehicles that have nuts welded in place by the factory. The locations of these nuts can be found in the Owner’s Manual (for most 1983 and newer models.) Toyota does not recommend modifying vehicles that do not have nuts welded in place by the factory. The Owner’s Manual seat section provides an illustration showing available top strap bracket location(s). The illustration page in the Owner’s Manual is provided in pages 4-9 of this bulletin. NOTE: Determine which kit parts are needed for each specific child seat location, by referring to pages 4-9 of this bulletin. 2. Remove a 20 mm diameter area of the carpet or trim material above the bracket mounting location. In some vehicles, a 20 mm circle is already pre-cut into the interior trim material. Once the interior trim material is removed, the nuts welded in by the factory should be visible. 3. If a 5 mm or 15 mm spacer is specified, remove the red lock washer from the Bracket Sub-Assembly (P/N 73709-12010) and remove the 10 mm spacer. Installation Manual TWM Performance Short Shift Kit 1997-2001 Toyota Camry 1999-2003 Toyota Solara 1. Unscrew the shift knob and remove the boot. 2. 3. Unplug the lighter assembly from the bottom of the cover you just popped out. 4. Remove the 2 screws at the front of the console. 5. Remove the plastic cover in front of the handbrake. 6. Remove the rubber mat, and the two bolts in the storage compartment of the center console. 7. Unclip the plastic connector at the front of the console. 8. Carefully lift and remove the console from the car to allow access to the shift assembly. 9. Remove the clip on the left side of the assembly. 11. Insert a flat head screw driver behind the clip on the right front side of the assembly and pry the clip off. The clip may be broken in the process but a new one is included with the TWM shifter. 12. Use a punch to drive out the pin and remove the plastic side arm. Note the position of the spring before removal of the arm….

Free Park Brake Bellcrank Repair Guide for Toyota Truck
Toyota trucks including Tacoma, T100 and Tundra with rear drum brakes use a bellcrank apparatus through the brake backing plate as part of the parking brake system. These bellcranks, made of aluminum and steel are known for seizing up…..
The sagging cable that runs across the differential is a warning. If you notice this you need to check the action of the bellcranks before using theparking brake further. Using the parking brake with this condition can cause damage to the brake shoes and drum. You can check the action of the bellcrank manually to verify the bellcrank is seized. It should move freely. Even if the cable is just too tight you should be able to pull the cable towards the side that is not against the backing plate, while pulling the other side off. If you find you can get no movement from the bellcrank, its time to pull the drums and get to work. RemovingToyota Drums If you have never removed your drums, you will likely find that they are stuck in place. Rust tends to build up between the drum and hub flange making them difficult to remove. Here are some tips for removing the drum as shown in figure 3. Using sandpaper, remove as much rust as possible on the flange that is exposed on the out side of the drum. Soak the drum at the hub with penetrating oil. Be sure to spray some in the holes between the studs. Removing the Bellcrank: Once the drum has been removed inspect the brake shoes for wear and cracking of the shoe material from excessive heat. If this is found, the shoes should be replaced. If heat damage is found on the shoes, inspect the brake drum surface for scoring or hot spots. If this is found the drum may need replaced also.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO START: 1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection and release the wiring harness from the air box lid.
Tools: 3. Loosen the stock intake tube hose clamp and two upper air box mounting bolts as shown in the photograph. 4. Remove the air box lid from thevehicle. 5. Remove the two bolts that secure the fresh air intake to the radiator core support. Note: These bolts will be re-used, do not discard. Flat Blade Screwdriver, Phillips Screwdriver, Ratchet, Extension, 10mm Socket, Pliers, 10mm Wrench, 17mm Wrench, 3mm Allen Wrench, 4mm Allen Wrench. Description Qty. Part # 7. Remove the three bolts that secure the lower air box to the mounting bracket. 6. Remove the fresh air intake from the lower air box; then, remove from thevehicle. 8. Remove the lower air box from the vehicle as shown in the photograph. 9. Remove the two bolts that secure the lower air box mounting bracket to the inner fender and set aside; then, remove the mounting bracket from thevehicle. 10.
